Silicon:
Junoe is an interstellar wanderer, an android with a mechanical body but a heart filled with a longing for beauty and love.
Junoe broke free from his artificial, robotic and emotionless home world and set off on a journey across the galaxy in search of something more. Junoe’s adventures see him encounter many new alien places and their residents on his travels, both good and bad; but the greatest challenges he faces are from within, the other versions of himself.
Junoe travels from world to world, taking with him the best of the civilisations he visits, with a dream of a future world where truth and love prevail. Junoe’s stories are epic galactic tales of a hero lost between two worlds, a juxtaposition between light and dark, happiness and sadness, joy and loss, love and heartbreak, electronic and organic and the restless search for genuine self and belonging.
Carbon:
Meet Junoe the man with the split personality behind the music, behind the android. Junoe is the digital representation of the organic, the android that represents the man, the silicon that represents the carbon, the digital that represents the organic and the metal that represents the flesh. Embodying the same ideals and values but residing in a realm of 1's and 0's. Junoe is a symbol that stands for truth, beauty and Love in a world filled with struggle and conflict.
Junoe the man is much happier at play in the studio than standing in the limelight. He’s always been about letting the music do the talking and happiest when he is creating something new and the Junoe project is no exception. With a wealth of experience writing and producing for multiple artists and projects across multiple genres under different aliases, he has always been happy to let someone else take centre stage, and this time it’s the digital version of Junoe, the Android known by the same name.
The Junoe project has always been about juxtapositions. The complicated relationships between light and dark, happiness and sadness, Love and heartbreak, Life and death. The music represents these conflicts in a very real way where opposing ideas meet head on in melody and lyric and where modern electronic instruments battle with classic organic ones.
808’s vs Guitars, Vintage synths vs live strings and vocals vs vocoders in a tug of war that beautifully highlights the wonderful place that can exist between two, and can tell a story about the two coexisting despite being at odds with each other.
